Bhim Jayanti:

Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar, Indian politician and social reformer. It marks Ambedkar's birthday who was born on 14 April 1891. His birthday is also referred to as 'Equality Day' by some in India. We displayed a short life story of Dr. Ambedkar and a talk was also given. 


Media Club lub Prize Distribution:

Media Club had already conducted a photograph competition on the title NVKSD Campus. For the winners prizes were distributed. A video was played displaying the photographs taken by the competitors. Prizes were distributed by Dr. Prashob Madavan sir and our Principal Mam Dr. Sreelatha. 








Manuscript Presentation:

Our seniors of English Department presented manuscripts prepared by them to our principal mam.

Demonstration Class on Grammar:

A teacher from NVKS Senior Secondary School came to our class for the demonstration class on English Grammar. She took the class as per the lesson plan. The class was interesting and she motivated us to follow those principles while taking Grammar.







Mensuration Awareness for Women:

Mensuration Awareness Program for Girls were conducted at about 2 p.m. to 3.45 p.m.
Most of the girls brought their mother for this awareness program. Gynaecologist Dr. M. Santhi was the Resource person.
          

Throwball Finals and Volleyball Competition:

Throwball Finals Competition for girls and Volleyball Competition for boys were conducted in the last hour.

Sound chain

 Sound chain is an easy way to review phonics and letter sounds. The whole class sits in a circle. One student says a word. The next student must say a word that starts with the last sound of the previous word. To make this more difficult, choose a topic or category for all the words: boy's names, animals, things found in a classroom, etc. Student 1: knife (ends with f sound) Student 2: food (begins with f sound; ends with d sound) Student 3: drinks (begins with d sound; ends with s sound) Student 4: soap (begins with s sound; ends with p sound) Student 5: pan (begins with p sound; ends with n sound) Continue around the circle until everyone has contributed or until you run out of words. For a variation, you could eliminate students when they can't think of a word and the final student playing is the winner.
