National Maritime Day, Book Review, Birthday celebration and Seminar
Today's Special
National Maritime Day:
National Maritime Day was first celebrated on April 5, 1964. Since then every year this day is celebrated nationally. National Maritime Day is dedicated to the celebration of the pivotal role of maritime trade in the development of the Indian economy and the role of India and its strategic location in global trade. Our students council took initiative to celebrate this delightful day in a grand manner. A documentary on National Maritime Day was picturised by first years.

Book Review:
Book review was done by Anishma. She gave a detailed account about the book "that long silence" by Shashi Deshpande. The novel is mostly concerned with women like Kusum, Mohan's mother, and many other victims like them-victims of patriarchy and also of their own silence. That Long Silence puts into nutshell the history and evolution of women through four generations that Jaya has known and promises a better future for women.
Birthday Celebration:
Today our college staffs celebrated the birthday of one of their colleagues. In the evening we took a selfie with him.
Seminar on Counciling Skills:
I was given the chance to take a seminar on Counciling Skills - Drama and Art Theory. I used PPT prepared by myself for taking an effective seminar. I took nearly 25 minutes to finish my seminar. I hope that my colleagues understood the topic which I had discussed in the class.
