Assembly:

Thought for the day begins with English and Tamil News along with the recitation of the world famous Thirukkural written by Thiruvalluvar. Next the Professional Education in NEP 2020 was discussed.






Birthday Celebration:

Today Readers forum celebrated the birthday of my batchmate Vinitha. She was surprised when we pictured her video on the screen. Everyone wished her and our Principal gave her a gift.

Demonstration Class:

Today we had a demonstration class on how to take prose lesson to the school students. The demonstration class was taken by Mrs. Adhiti who is currently working as a teacher in N V K S School, Attoor and was the former student teacher of N V K S D College of Education, Attoor. She properly followed the lesson plan and the basic techniques of teaching like how to begin, how to motivate students, etc... We had a great time in our demonstration class.

Sound chain

Image
 Sound chain is an easy way to review phonics and letter sounds. The whole class sits in a circle. One student says a word. The next student must say a word that starts with the last sound of the previous word. To make this more difficult, choose a topic or category for all the words: boy's names, animals, things found in a classroom, etc. Student 1: knife (ends with f sound) Student 2: food (begins with f sound; ends with d sound) Student 3: drinks (begins with d sound; ends with s sound) Student 4: soap (begins with s sound; ends with p sound) Student 5: pan (begins with p sound; ends with n sound) Continue around the circle until everyone has contributed or until you run out of words. For a variation, you could eliminate students when they can't think of a word and the final student playing is the winner.
